Watering crops
Why a crop may be waiting for water and how watering affects growth.
Check whether your plant needs water
Plants carry an individual watering requirement. A water-dependent plant checks for a wet soil or area state; a plant without that requirement follows a different growth path.
When growth starts
The timer calculation uses the later of planting time and the first qualifying wet-state timestamp. If you plant first and water later, the watering time becomes the starting point for that calculation.
If a crop seems stuck
- Look for the watering indicator on the plant.
- Check its remaining growth time after watering.
- Confirm the plant is still present in its planted space.
- Compare the same crop in the same game build before assuming the timer is broken.
How often should you water?
The inspected code does not supply a universal once-a-day watering rule. The wet-state duration, weather interactions and individual crop definitions are needed to establish a reliable schedule.
